One Week Fashion Journalism

The Condé Nast Fashion Journalism course is an intensive one-week programme to introduce students to a range of practical skills and essential information on the subject.  It is suitable for anyone interested in fashion and lifestyle journalism that is keen to find out more about the media and develop their writing skills.

During the course you will research and develop ideas for articles and also explore online portfolio options that will allow you to showcase your personal body of work.

You will hear from Condé Nast staff and other fashion media experts on a range of related subjects such as understanding audiences, generating ideas for features, trend reporting, writing fashion news and the art of the interview.  As well as examining the work of inspiring writers and editors and exploring the language of fashion, you will also find out how magazines operate, how revenue is generated from media content, and the key characteristics of print and digital formats.

The course gives an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of a Condé Nast magazine and the skills required to build a successful career in fashion journalism.
