Cancellation Information for All Courses

Non-attendance due to illness, or for personal or professional reasons, does not entitle any student or prospective student to a refund or deferral/transfer.

Deferred entry is normally only allowed in exceptional circumstances and is not permitted for students on the Vogue Intensive Summer Course, the one-week courses, online courses, or the Vogue Teen Weekend. For all other courses, please contact us before you submit your application if you are considering applying for deferred entry. We permit accepted students (who have been approved for deferred entry) to defer a maximum of two times, and it must be for a course that starts within a year from the time of the original course.

The deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.

Please note that refunds can take up to 28 days to be returned to the payer; refunds will be returned using the same method in which the original payment was made.

Course Age Requirements

Age requirements for our courses are based on Academic Age; this is an applicant’s/student’s age on 31st August preceding the start of each academic year. An academic year runs 1st September -31st August annually. For the duration of the academic year, a student is considered to be their academic age for admissions purposes, regardless of when their birthday falls within that academic year.

For all MA courses, BA (Hons) Fashion Communication & Industry Practice, Vogue Foundation Programme,CN Diploma, CN Certificates, Vogue Intensive Summer Courses, and % Days of Short Courses students must be aged at least 18 years old on 1st September at the start of the academic year in which they intend to join their chosen course. By submitting your application, you agree that you will be aged 18 or over on this date. If this proves to be incorrect, we may terminate our agreement with you, and you will not be entitled to a refund.

For Online Courses students must be aged at least 16 years old on 1st September at the start of the academic year in which they intend to join their chosen course. By submitting your application, you agree that you will be aged 16 or over on this date. If this proves to be incorrect, we may terminate our agreement with you, and you will not be entitled to a refund.

For the Vogue Teen Weekend/Festival students must be aged at least 15 years old but no older than 17 on 1st September at the start of the academic year in which they intend to join. By submitting your application, you agree that you will be aged 15-17 on this date. All attendees must provide a formal, recognised form of photographic ID (Preferably a passport – please get in touch beforehand if you have any queries about which identification will be accepted) on arrival at the college on day one. If your date of birth cannot be verified, you will not be able to participate in the course until you can produce sufficient ID. If you prove to be younger than 15 or older than 17 on 1st September at the beginning of the academic year of entry, we may terminate our agreement with you, and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Visas for Studying in the UK

If you do not hold a UK passport, you may need to obtain a student visa that allows you to study with us. This doesn't apply to online courses.

For information please see the Home Office website.

It is your responsibility to determine how far in advance you need to apply for a visa and to allow for enough time to obtain a visa. You will not be permitted to start the course if you do not have a visa that allows you to study, and in such instance, will not be eligible for any refund of your course fees. We may be able to defer you to a later course, though there is no guarantee.

Before we can issue your unconditional acceptance letter and confirm your place on the course, you will need to send in a scan of your passport and visa to the Admissions team, so we have copies of your documents for our records. On arrival at the Condé Nast College, you will need to present your passport and visa to reception for us to double-check with the scan we have on file.

Please ensure that your place on the course is confirmed before making any travel and accommodation arrangements.

Insurance

Non-UK students are required to have adequate health, accident, disability, and hospitalisation insurance to cover themselves during their time at the College.

Students recognise and accept that no part of the course fee goes toward payment of such insurance and that the College has no obligation to provide such insurance.

Cancellation & Changes

The College reserves the right to cancel any courses prior to the commencement of the course at its discretion if the number of members enrolled on the course, or other unexpected circumstances might (in the opinion of the College) compromise the standards pursued by the College. The communication of any such cancellation will be given at least one month (30 days) before the scheduled commencement of the course without any liability on the part of the College, save that any course fees already paid will be entirely refunded.

Courses are organised according to the schedules, dates, and programmes established by the College direction from time-to-time. The College reserves the right, at any time, to amend any aspect of the courses as it may be necessary.

Appeals Procedure for Rejected Applications

The Condé Nast College Admissions Panel reserves the right to reject an application if they deem the student is unsuitable for admission on to a particular course. Individuals whose application has been rejected are welcome to appeal by formally writing to the Admissions Panel and requesting that their application be re-reviewed. A second Admissions Panel (consisting of other members of the Admissions team and senior academic staff) will then review the application for a second time and come to a decision. Students who have been rejected are permitted to apply for other courses, but they are only permitted to appeal their application for any single course once.

Student Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to recognise that other students also require support and assistance.

If a student becomes persistently disruptive, we reserve the right to issue a verbal or written warning and, if this does not resolve the situation, we may, at our discretion, require the student to leave the course. In such circumstances, no refund of any course fees will be due.

By enrolling in any course offered by the College, students agree to comply fully with the disciplinary rules of the College. In addition to compliance with the disciplinary rules of the College, we require that students maintain a good attendance record, rigorous respect for the schedule of lessons and a responsible attitude towards the College staff and facilities. Failure to adhere fully to these rules may result in disciplinary measures being taken against the offending student.

Students understand that should they have legal or medical problems while they are enrolled at the College, they will attend to the matter personally and with their own funds. They accept that the College will not provide any personal or financial assistance.

Conditional Acceptance

A student’s place will be subject to the student meeting any offer conditions that the College shall notify to the student in writing such as obtaining particular qualifications and/or satisfying all necessary legal and other requirements to study in the United Kingdom on the chosen course (for example in relation to health checks and immigration clearance).

Force Majeure

The College shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance, in whole or part, of any of their obligations arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond their reasonable control including, but not limited to strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes (whether involving our workforce or the workforce of any other party), acts of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm, pandemics, epidemics or other outbreaks of disease or infection, failure in the public supply of electricity, heating, lighting, air conditioning or telecommunications equipment.

By completing the application form and signing the declaration, you confirm that the information you have provided is accurate. If you think that there is a mistake, please ask us to make any changes in writing.
