Director of Condé Nast College in London and Madrid

Ana García-Siñeriz

Journalist and writer Ana García-Siñeriz is the Director of Condé Nast College in London and Madrid.

With a glittering career in media, Ana has worked for Canal +, Cuatro, CNN, Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire and leading Spanish diary, El Pais for more than 25 years covering culture, fashion and cinema as a TV personality. In 2017, she helped to launch Condé Nast College Spain which is now a reference for higher education in fashion, beauty and lifestyle for Spain and Latin-American countries.

A literary inspiration, Ana is also the author of a successful middle grade girl’s series with more than 40 books published in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Serbia, and Latin America that has introduced the pleasures of reading to an entire generation of young readers.

Johannes Reponen is a scholar, critic and consultant who specialises in fashion communication, media and writing. He is the Director of Post-Graduate Programmes, Academic Affairs, Research and Knowledge Exchange at the College, and he has previously headed up MA degrees at the London College of Fashion.

Johannes writes for a number of fashion and design publications including Vestoj, MacGuffin, Press & Fold and Dazed, and works with international clients such as L’Oréal, J Walter Thompson, Consumer Dynamics and SCB Partners on future insight. Johannes has BA and MA degrees in communication and criticism, and is currently completing his doctoral research degree in fashion media. He has co-edited a book titled Insights on Fashion Journalism with Dr Rosie Findlay.

Harriet Posner specialises in marketing and branding for fashion, and is the author of Marketing Fashion: Strategy, Branding and Promotion (2015), used by fashion scholars around the world. Harriet has had a long and varied career in the industry and in education.

As a designer, Harriet launched her own label, selling in prestigious stores such as Harvey Nichols in London and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. She has worked for a number of high-profile global fashion brands in Europe and Asia.

Harriet has also run a consultancy, specialising in buying, market research, branding and marketing. She has been a Course Leader and has designed BA courses in Fashion Communication and Promotion.

Senior Lecturer / Course Leader for Certificate programmes

Hannah is an experienced editor, copywriter, and journalist specialising in Fashion Media. Starting as a print journalist she has covered lead features and coverstar interviews for titles such as POP, Glass Magazine, Plastique, Wound, and Emirates Woman before moving into digital publishing, editing travel and lifestyle digital publications.

Alongside this Hannah has worked with brands to create optimised content, social media and managed PR campaigns for luxury fashion brands, beauty e-commerce, fine art e-commerce, adventure travel and entertainment giving her a 360 degree experience of the lifestyle media sector.

Hannah lectures in; fashion journalism, editing, copywriting, publishing, magazine design, PR & Marketing and digital media and leads the college content on CNC Editorial.

Hannah has a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice alongside Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Sara Hassan
**Creative Director & Head of Styling**
Sara Hassan is a fashion editor, stylist and writer and has been in the industry for 20 years. Her career began with a BA Hons degree in Fashion Communication & Promotion from Central Saint Martins.

Sara's first job was at British Vogue, where she spent four years as Fashion Co-ordinator. From there she moved to Sunday Times Style as Senior Fashion Editor, styling and directing shoots as well as collaborating with photographers such as Kai Z Feng, Mary McCartney, David Bailey and Graeme Montgomery. She has styled celebrities including Emily Blunt, Kate Moss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

You can often find Sara in the College’s photographic studio, helping students with direction, production and styling.

She has a long and varied career with extensive industry experience gained working as a Designer and then as a Design Manager for High Street retailers such as Marks and Spencer, Debenhams and Top Shop.

Fiona has been working within academia for the last ten years lecturing within the discipline of Fashion Design. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Post-Compulsory Education and Training. She is currently an External Examiner on the BA Fashion with Contour course at the Northern School of Art.

As well as writing, she also has experience with commissioning and editing. She spent many years as a reporter backstage at the international shows, producing trend content and reports for BRIDES, Glamour and GQ. Sophie is also the co-founder of the biggest bridal beauty event in the UK -The Bridal Beauty Festival, which takes place twice a year and features brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Kersatase, Pixi, Decelor, Penhaligon’s, Dr Sebagh as well as many others.

With extensive experience in video, Sophie has produced numerous trend-based shoots and how-to videos with artists including Charlotte Tilbury, Lisa Potter Dixon, Hannah Martin and Amy Conway. She also has experience with public speaking and chairing panel talks with brands Bobbi Brown, Liz Earle Glamglow and Becca.

Wendy Kay

Wendy is a Fashion Business expert and educator, with over 10 years of experience in the Fashion Buying industry, spent working for some of the biggest fashion retail brands on the UK High Street, followed by building and running her own business.

Wendy’s fashion career began with studying Fashion & Textile design, followed by a B.A. (Hons) in Fashion Design and Promotion, finishing with a post-graduate research M.A. in Fashion & Textile studies.

As well as lecturing in Fashion Business & Entrepreneurship, Fashion Marketing & Promotions, and Fashion Buying - on the CNC fast-track B.A. Fashion Communications & Industry Practice course, Wendy also lectures elsewhere at M.A. level in Fashion Promotions & Media, Fashion & Textile Design, and Fashion Management with Marketing and Fashion Industry Pathways.

Wendy is passionate about homegrown British brands with heritage and provenance, beautifully crafted fashion products and new and exciting opportunities for fashion business and product development within the UK fashion and textile industry.

Paul Tierney graduated from the London College of Fashion, where he studied journalism. Over the past 30 years he has written professionally for a wide variety of publications including LOVE, *The Independent*, *Grazia*, *Fantastic Man*, the *London Evening Standard*, *AnOthe*r, *i-D* and *Neue Luxury*. He is currently editor-at-large at *Ponystep* magazine.

For 15 years Paul has a been a regular visiting lecturer at a number of top colleges, including Central Saint Martins, the London College of Fashion, the University of Westminster and UCA Epsom.

Blending art, fashion, culture and travel, his unique style and eye for detail have made him an in-demand contributor to some of world’s most respected titles.

After a degree in History of Art at Cambridge University, Zoe’s first job was PA to celebrated fashion photographer Norman Parkinson.

She has worked for Condé Nast since 1990, joining Vogue as Promotions Editor, and then Fashion Bookings Editor. She was part of the launch team for Easy Living magazine, where she was Bookings Editor for nine years. Zoe has been at the College since it opened in April 2013, first as Marketing Manager, and then as Head of Stakeholder Engagement in 2020. In 2023 Zoe was appointed to Head of Careers & Stakeholder Engagement.

Zoe has a proven track record of stakeholder relationship building and she uses her contacts book to source inspiring fashion-industry guest speakers. She creates brand collaborations and job opportunities for students.

**Art Director, Designer & Visiting Lecturer**
Fiona is a designer and art director with over 30 years’ international experience in magazines, fashion, contemporary art and luxury retail.

She has been Art Director of House & Garden in the UK, GQ in India, the British and Russian editions of Cosmopolitan, and Russian Vogue (twice.) Between 2013 and 2019, as Art Director of Condé Nast International, she worked on the launch of 14 magazines, including seven editions of Vogue.

Fiona is also a co-author and art director of "The Fashion Yearbook," an annual compilation of the year’s best magazine covers, editorial and advertising imagery from around the world, available at good bookstores internationally (and on Amazon).

At Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design, Fiona leads modules as part of the Creative Direction and Fashion Media Strategy M.A. courses, and contribute to other courses at the College, including the online learning programme and corporate clients' projects.

**Freelance Creative Director, Copywriter, Lecturer & Radio Presenter**
Beginning his career in the fashion department of i-D magazine in the late 1990s, Marcus Agerman Ross rose to the position of fashion editor before taking up the role of European fashion director at Vice magazine at a pivotal time when digital media was in its infancy. In 2010, he founded his own magazine, Jocks&Nerds, a publication that explores the intersection between clothes, culture and individuality. More recently, he has been working within radio, hosting shows on both Soho Radio and Totally Wired Radio. Over the past 20 years, he has taken on various professional roles, within both media and fashion, including writer, photographer and stylist. As a creative director, he has developed marketing campaigns for the likes of Nike, Baracuta, C.P. Company and Absolut vodka. Agerman Ross is also an associate lecturer on the MA Fashion Photography course at London College of Fashion, and regularly teaches at UCA, Ravensbourne and Oxford Brookes.

In 1993 he began his career at Condé Nast Publications, at *Vogue*, *Tatler* and *Vanity Fair* in London and Indian *Vogue* in Mumbai, where he spent two years.

In addition to his editorial commitments, Tim has worked for clients including Hotel Chocolat, H&M and Princes William and Harry. In 2014 he founded his own creative company, Epiphany51, and was profiled in *Our Time,* a book about the lives of 60 British creatives. Tim speaks regularly on creative direction.

Sarah Bailey is a senior lecturer and a visual merchandising consultant. She has more than 20 years industry experience working for global blue-chip fashion and interior retailers such as Debenhams, Charlotte Tilbury, Harrods, the Chalhoub Group, Adidas and Fenwick. Her freelance consultancy work has taken her all over the world, launching fashion and interiors brands into new markets, and coordinating and designing new store openings from concept to completion.

Before setting up a freelance VM consultancy business, Sarah spent seven years as a course director at the London College of Fashion, leading the BA Fashion Visual Merchandising and Branding course, where she developed her specialism in live industry projects. She is an author of *Visual Merchandising for Fashion* (Bloomsbury Press).

Sarah has a Masters Degree in Academic Practice in Art and Design, is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the British Display Society. She has been featured in *The Financial Times*, *Vogue*, *Drapers Record* and on the BBC.

This comprehensive study combines an overview of the key moments in fashion journalism history with close textual analysis, bringing to life the evolving face of the fashion media and its relationship with the fashion industry, national politics, consumer culture and gender. Dr. Kate Nelson Best is currently writing a new monograph that deals with narratives of nationalism in the fashion media.

Patrick Morgan studied at the Royal College of Art and has worked as a commercial artist for over 20 years receiving commissions from famous designers and exclusive patrons including Yves Saint Laurent, Tom Ford, Chanel, Fendi, The Royal Academy of Arts, The London Olympics, and was personally commissioned to do a portrait of US Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington.

Patrick has exhibited at the V&A, Tate Modern, RA and RCA. Patrick has also been fusing relationships between industry and universities working with the RCA and Wallpaper* magazine, also giving a series of lectures at Tate Modern about future learning and critical thinking.

Louise founded Flourish CSR, a responsible business advisory agency, with business partner and textiles expert Tara Luckman. Flourish CSR provides sustainability and CSR consultancy services to retailers, fashion brands, NGO’s and public sector organisations across the UK and Europe.

Louise is an experienced leader in corporate responsibility and sustainability. With a background in international touring theatre and marketing, she joined ASOS in its early days to establish its HR function, and later created ASOS’s Fashion with Integrity strategy from scratch, building a team who transformed the organisation over 12 years into a leader in ethical trade, sustainability and inclusion, influencing UK fashion more broadly in areas like Modern Slavery reporting, animal welfare, supply chain transparency, diversity and body confidence.

In 2009 Louise founded the ASOS Foundation, which now enables thousands of young people in the UK, India and rural Kenya overcome barriers to reach their potential. She is also a Trustee for Trauma Foundation South West, a charity providing free psychotherapy for refugees and asylum seekers.

Deborah has accumulated over twenty years’ experience working within the fashion industry across various industry environments which include: design (own sustainable womenswear label), technical, and product development for national and international companies. Her expertise ranges from women’s wear tailoring to sportswear product management. Currently, Deborah delivers sustainable fashion workshops for sportswear companies including Nike.

Following on from her years in industry, Deborah furthered her education gaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and is now pursuing a Postgraduate Research Degree (MPhil) investigating sustainability in fashion focusing on consumer attitudes towards clothing as a route to influencing sustainable garment consumption. Deborah has presented her research paper at a range of sustainable fashion conferences and university led symposia. As an academic, Deborah has taught at Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester University and also at universities in Amsterdam and Vietnam.
