Discovering a glistening new brand is one thing, but discovering a glistening new brand created and designed by your best pal and esteemed co-student is quite another. Real Tulip, created by our very own Rachel Feibusch, is the newest addition to the hub of emerging young designers in London. The sustainable label, which launched this week, features six different top designs all using sheer and velvet fabrics. Whether you’re seeking the one-shouldered top in hues of blue and seaweed greens or the long sleeved baby pink design with large red tulips to cover the breasts, there is a distinctive look to the tulip girl. She is bold and daring in her style choices and chooses to celebrate her individuality and imperfections. This philosophy was inspired by the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, referring to the beauty of imperfect, transitory and unfinished things, which is clearly reflected in Rachel’s unique designs. Real Tulip can be worn year round and on any occasion. They can be tops for going out and dancing, but you’ll find are just as suited to for the morning after too. This brand has the potential to go the full mile so I’d recommend you hop on board and join the tulip takeover. See you for a shimmy on the dancefloor.
