Design duo Agi & Sam on Breaking into Menswear

On Tuesday afternoon, award-winning design duo Agi & Sam spoke to the students at the Condé Nast College about how they broke into the fashion industry. Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton met while interning at Alexander McQueen, and got together with the idea of using a revolutionary approach to print design to make mens clothing. Though they essentially “started from nothing” the duo founded their own label in 2010 and soon grew to have mentors such as Paul Smith and Lulu Kennedy. They have created special collaborations with brands like Topman, Mr. Porter and Nike, proving this incredibly cool brand is now a fixture in the London fashion scene.

They will be giving a special talk at the V&A on 23rd October with GQ Style Director Robert Johnston. Visit the V&A website to book your tickets!
