Arcadia Group A/W 2017 Press Day

Arcadia Group A/W 2017 Press Day

Arcadia Group’s A/W 2017 press day was an exciting chance to preview the upcoming collections of Topshop, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridges, Wallis, and explore the emerging high street fashion trends.

Arcadia Group surely knows how to treat the press. The headquarter offices are dreamy with beautiful furniture, fresh flowers and a floor to ceiling advertisement of Topshop’s new face, Lily Jean Harvey, that met us in the lobby.

The press area was filled with journalists and influencers all snapping pictures, sipping cocktails in the bar, and tasting some of the delicious nibbles prepared. Some even got a manicure in the Topshop Beauty Room.

Topshop’s A/W collection was vibrant, with many different textures and interesting details. Embellished denim took up a large section, as did faux fur in all sorts of forms – from coats to clutches and high heels.

We were then walked through the new Topshop Beauty products coming out this spring, by a member of the staff. She showed us the affordable liquid lipstick sets and a range of highlighters that were the focus of the collection. The Hollywood mirror stated that the A/W 2017 look “takes inspiration from Nineties grunge and rave scenes. Pared back skin is the right side of radiant whilst clumpy lashes and blurred stained lips recall post party anti-perfection”.

Both the Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins A/W collections consisted of an array of lacy and embellished pieces. A member of the Dorothy Perkins team, stated that she expects the ‘blush power suit’ to be one of the bestsellers of the collection.

The ‘mini bag’ was another fast emerging trend that looks set to make a statement this A/W 2017.

It will be exciting to see the collections in store later this year!
