Emma Bell, MA Entrepreneurship: Fashion & Creative Industries, 2019-2020

The Condé Nast College has truly been an invaluable experience for me and has played a vital role in my education and career.

I first joined the college in 2017 where I embarked on the BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication which allowed me to explore different areas of the industry and discover what I was most passionate about. From here I decided to enrol in the MA Entrepreneurship: Fashion and creative industries program as this taught me core business theories and strategies that would be relevant as I progress in my career and future business aspirations.

The course is structured to thoughtfully guide you through the process of creating and launching your own business and taught me so much about the wider industry and operations. Since doing this course I have decided not to launch my business immediately and have instead put this on hold until the time is right – instead I am currently working within industry, building my knowledge and connections. The skills that I have learnt have transferred into my career within a company and I have found that my entrepreneurial understanding has been highly relevant across different roles.

The college offered me a unique opportunity to gain my BA and Masters in just three years whilst gaining invaluable industry experience and insights as well as actively supporting me with my career journey, encouraging me to think forward into my future.

CNC offered me far more than academic theories and skills: the staff have always been incredibly supportive of me and my personal growth as the college became my second home for the three years I studied there. I met the most amazing group of friends and we continue to support one another in our careers – my peers have become such an important part of my global industry network.

I don’t think I would be the person I am today or have my career without CNC and I will be eternally grateful for their continued support and guidance. I couldn’t recommend the college enough and specifically the MA Entrepreneurship course as it really prepared me to go out into industry with confidence in my knowledge.
