Summer at the Condé Nast College

Summer at the Condé Nast College

It’s been an unusually hot and sultry few weeks in Soho and our Vogue Intensive Summer Course students have been enjoying every moment of their month in London. Early excitements included group outings to the brilliant “Missoni Art Colour” show at the Fashion & Textile museum, the small but remarkable Punk 1976/78 show at the British Library and a visit to the V&A to see their “Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear” exhibition.

Back at our Greek Street HQ, the students have had a stellar line up of Condé Nast visiting speakers including Vogue Publishing Director Stephen Quinn, GQ Fashion Director Robert Johnston, Brides Editor Jade Beer, Glamour Assistant Editor Natasha Poliszczuk, and Vogue’s Fashion News Editor Julia Hobbs, among many others. And on top of all of this the students have themselves been producing some stunning work both at the College in our own photo studio but also out on the streets of London with their top-notch street style photography.

In the midst of all of this, 50 bright young teenagers spent a weekend at the College on our most recent Miss Vogue course and the academic staff were blown away by their dedication to their project work and their amazingly intelligent take on the wonderful world of fashion. Finally, applications are arriving thick and fast for our brand new, fast track two-year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication programme and we can’t wait to welcome our first undergraduates through the door of the College in October. Happy ongoing summer until then…
