One-Week Fashion Journalism & Fashion Styling Courses Announced

The Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design is proud to offer one-week journalism and styling courses for the first time in 2015.

Both courses will run in March and April and follow the success of the four-week Vogue Intensive Summer Course in 2014 which saw 80 students from around the world take part.

The Condé Nast Fashion Journalism course will be an intensive one-week programme to introduce students to a range of practical skills and essential information about pursuing a career in this field. Aimed at those interested in fashion and lifestyle journalism who are keen to expand their knowledge of the media and develop their writing skills, students will gain insight into the creation and operation of magazines, explore print and digital formats together with the language of fashion. They will also hear from a range of fashion media experts and journalists.

The Condé Nast Fashion Styling course will give students an insight into the vast array of work that goes into creating fashion images and the skills required to attain a successful career in styling. Students will develop ideas for a studio-based fashion shoot before going onto work with a team of industry professionals to create their own fashion images, as well as planning and photographing a still life accessories shoot. Industry experts will guide and advise on subjects such as street photography, creating look-books, styling celebrities and researching trends.

Each week-long course will be able to accommodate 30 students. Further courses, focusing on a number of other specialisms will be offered in due course.

Applications for both courses will open on 1st December 2014.
