Legendary makeup artist Val Garland

The new term kicked off in grand style this morning with a fantastically inspiring talk from legendary make-up artist Val Garland. The students were treated to an eye-popping feast of images spanning Garland’s extraordinary career and a wonderful opportunity to chat to her in person as she signed copies of her new book – Validated – with a characteristic flourish of shiny gold pen. “Feel no fear and never take ‘no’ for an answer” was her parting advice, a mantra that is now adorning many of the students’ notebooks as they set purposefully about their day.
