About Fashion Consultant Angela Quaintrell


Angela Quaintrell has over 30 years of experience in high fashion retail. Angela was Head Buyer at iconic London department store Liberty for 14 years and was one of the first to buy McQueen at the beginning of his career. 


She currently works with young designers and helps growing fashion companies to develop their business models and selling strategies working with London College of Fashion in London and Dubai, and with the Centre for Fashion Enterprise in London and Jakarta through her company AQ Market.


Angela is a mentor to young emerging designers from the Fashion Scout programme.

Mentoring Great Talent


During her colourful career, Angela has mentored the incredible talents of Peter Pilotto, Marques Almeida, Grace Wales Bonner, and Molly Goddard amongst many others.  She is a specialist coach and lecturer at the Royal College of Art and lectures at Istituto Marangoni and Regent Academy. 


To this day, Angela consults on many levels when it comes to fashion brands from pricing, costing, colours, styling, lookbooks and branding.

  • Be ready to answer any questions about your collection. 


“Have absolute knowledge of your collection.” When looking for hot new talent, Angela notes she wants to see several qualities coming through in the design such as being “Ethical, gender fluid, [and] sustainable.” The key question she asks up and coming designers is “What will be the intrinsic difference with your designs?

Timeless, Transeasonal & Limited Editions


Angela also speaks about the importance of new designers working towards transeasonal and timeless collections and putting a limited edition run on products in a bid to aid sustainable fashion
