Condé Nast College partners with Readymag to support the Graduate Class of 2020

Condé Nast College is proud to partner with online design tool Readymag to support the graduate Class of 2020 publishing the GradShowcase 2020and Foundation Zine 2020.

The online showcase shares the work of recent graduates on the BA (Hons) Fashion Communication course, MA Entrepreneurship, MA Fashion Communication and MA Fashion Media Practice programmes.

The chaos of the pandemic meant that for this year’s graduating cohort from the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, students were unable to share their Final Major Projects and dissertations with the usual fanfare and applause from a face-to-face exhibition. Instead, pursuing alternative outlets that similarly parallel and promise interaction and engagement, the College is thrilled to announce a partnership with Readymag.

About the online design tool Readymag

Launching the collaboration in October 2020 in order to support the graduate Class of 2020, the College looked to Readymag. A browser-based online design tool to help create websites and online portfolios, it spans animations, a depth of fonts, streamlined visuals and around-the clock support to assist independent creatives and brands, without the need for coding.

With the support of Readymag, the College is therefore thrilled to present two digital showcases. The first, a digital platform to celebrate the work of students from the College’s Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, GradShowcase 2020 and the second, Foundation Zine 2020 to share the work of students from the Vogue Fashion Foundation programme.
Designs were created by Hannah Springett and her team and is yet another example of the College’s commitment to raising awareness of their students work, while using the latest technologies straight from the industry thus preparing our students for their professional journey. Our students will be also using this platform in their future projects at the College.

How to view the GradShowcase 2020

As a result of the enormous challenges presented to students at the Condé Nast College, the GradShowcase 2020 documents the talents and creative projects from students on the BA (Hons) Fashion Communication course, MA Entrepreneurship, MA Fashion Communication and MA Fashion Media Practice which has now been redeveloped into more specialised and focused course options.

Overcoming obstacles placed before them during the pandemic, the virtual portfolio is a testament to their hard work, resilience and creativity.

The Future of Interactive Storytelling

“Digital and interactive storytelling is fast gaining traction and Condé Nast uses it to create vibrant content and engaging brand experiences for many of their brands including Vogue,” shares BA Fashion Communication Programmer Director, Harriet Posner. “It is essential that our students studying at the College keep up to speed and get an opportunity to learn first hand about new developments in media, communication and promotion, and that they can hone their skills using ReadyMag.”
