One Week Fashion Journalism Course
The Condé Nast Fashion Journalism course is an intensive one-week programme to introduce students to a range of practical skills and essential information on the subject. It is suitable for anyone interested in fashion and lifestyle journalism that is keen to find out more about the media and develop their writing skills.
During the course, students will research and develop ideas for articles before going on to create a website that will act as a showcase for their personal body of work.
Students will hear from Condé Nast staff and other fashion media experts on a range of related subjects such as understanding the masthead, the editor’s role, conducting interviews and readership profiling. As well as examining the work of inspiring writers and editors and exploring the language of fashion, they will also find out how magazines operate, how to generate revenue from media content, and the key differences between print and digital formats.
The course gives an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of a Condé Nast magazine and the skills required to build a successful career in fashion journalism.
