This short online course is designed for anyone with an interest in, and fascination for Fashion Imagery and Shoot Production. Perfect for those wishing to explore how the production of fashion editorials happens, how fashion images are influenced by culture and for anyone wishing to discover more about what is involved in the creation of fashion shoots that lead to highly creative editorial and advertising images.
This course provides an introduction to the world of fashion, fashion images and in particular explores how shoot producers manage the process of bringing together everything involved in the creation and production of fashion imagery.
Every week there will be a range of activities for you to compete, combining individual projects and group work; this allows opportunities to work independently as well as collaboratively alongside other students undertaking the course.
All of the sessions will be recorded so you can follow the course at your own pace.
You will learn how to recognise who key fashion image makers are when it comes to fashion images, and what is involved when a shoot producer searches locations and talent and sets about bringing together stylists, creative directors, models, makeup artists and photographers, to work on creative shoots.
By the end of the course you will have gained a broad introductory knowledge of; the history of fashion images, the social and cultural drivers of change in fashion imagery, and all the elements of shoot production. Those who complete and pass all the course tasks and assessment will receive a Condé Nast Certificate of Achievement.
This course also acts as a stepping-stone on to other Condé Nast College courses at higher levels for those wishing to progress their studies.

The course is entirely online and lasts six weeks with 6-7 hours of online activities each week along with guidance and advice on what to read, watch, and listen to.
The course is interactive, multimedia-driven, and academically-rigorous, delivered by expert academics and industry professionals.
The course learning activities can be accessed at any time and own pace.
Each week will have a set of activities that will need to be complete before the learner can proceed to the next week.
Most of the lectures are narrated, pre-recorded lectures by our academics and industry contributors. These can be watched multiple times and at any time within the week that they are set.
There will be two live events per week scheduled to accommodate any timezone. Recordings of the events will be available after and can be watched at any time.

This course has no academic prerequisites. It’s designed for anyone wishing to broaden their knowledge of how fashion is communicated and those wanting to explore an exciting and innovative way of learning from academics and experts from within the fashion industry.
Students must be aged at least 16 years old on 31st August at the start of the academic year in which they intend to join this course. An academic year runs 1st September-31st August annually. For the duration of the academic year, a student is considered to be their academic age for admissions purposes, regardless of when their birthday falls within that academic year.
English Language Requirements
There are no formal English language requirements for this course. However, if you are a non-UK student and English is not your first language, we recommend you have an Academic IELTS score of 5.5 or be able to use English at this level before commencing your studies. It is your responsibility to ensure you will be able to participate fully in a qualification delivered and assessed in English.
